ROSE KNOWS…

What Does It Mean to Be "Clair"?

As a species, we have five senses that we rely on: sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste. Yet we have four more senses to supplement those. They are known as "the clairs": clairvoyance (clear vision), clairaudience (clear hearing), clairsentience (clear feeling), and claircognizance (clear knowing).

When an inspiration or creative thought just seems to appear as if out of nowhere, it may be your sense of ‘claircognizance’ — a strong sense of knowing that goes beyond logic. It’s a highly intuitive gift, though sometimes its signs are subtle. You may have this particular gift if you seem to have the answer to everything. For example, have you ever watched quiz shows like “Jeopardy!” and known the answers to some of the questions without any logical explanation as to how you know that information? Have you ever looked at a problem and just known with an unexplained certainty that it would work out? These are all signs that you may have this special gift.

“So, why am I telling you this? All I can say is this…I do feel a sense of claircognizance every now and then. But…maybe it’s about the wisdom of my age? Maybe it’s just being intuitive, or having a gut feeling? Or maybe it’s my wild imagination? Then there’s the fact that I spend so much of my time immersed in creativity, and that helps to expand my brain and thought processes. Or maybe it is the gift of really knowing things without any real backing? Enough said! Rose knows…”
