As an artist, my passion has been photographing and editing beautiful images of roses. There is a deep connection between the rose and the heart. By commingling my words of love and longing with the creative images of roses, I hope you find a visually pleasing, and enlightening read, as you turn the pages of The Rose & Prose.
During the writing of The Rose & Prose, I allowed myself to live in a virtual fantasy world. Writing about my virtual experience gave me a cathartic release, and it allowed me to express my feelings and emotions, while it was happening.
Living in a prolonged fantasy world can overwhelm and consume you. While it is a feel good space to be in, it is also a form of escapism that can become potentially harmful to your mental state and overall well being. If there is very little, or no sign of reciprocation from your object of desire, and as difficult as it may be, you should really consider leaving your fantasy world behind, and return to reality. While you may never meet the person you fantasized about in real life, it can be, nonetheless, just as painful and sad to let them go.
Love is a wonderful feeling. It can happen anytime, anywhere. The concept of finding love via the internet is quite common, really. In today’s digital world, you may actually know someone who found their life long partner via social media. Just appreciate when love happens, and in whatever circumstances that may be.
Stay gracious,
